Tattoo Artist

Borwornnus Kanoknark “O”

Born in Bangkok, Thailand – April 28, 1986

“O” began his creative journey in the world of music and visual production. Before becoming a tattoo artist, he worked in production and performed as a DJ, living a life immersed in rhythm, light, and underground culture.

At the age of 20, in 2006, he entered monkhood — an experience that profoundly shifted his path. During his time as a monk, he encountered ancient scripts preserved in the Tripitaka (Buddhist scriptures). It was there that he first became deeply fascinated by sacred Pali characters and the mystical geometry of traditional Thai yantras.

One particular sacred symbol captured his heart — the ancient “Na” yantra. More than just a symbol, “Na” is a sacred syllable, a protective mantra believed to carry spiritual power. Historically, Thai warriors heading into battle would inscribe sacred yantra scripts onto their bodies for protection, strength, and blessings. Each yantra carries a specific intention — protection, prosperity, charisma, or inner power — depending on its form and sacred geometry.

Years later, during the COVID period, O felt a deep longing for his child, who had moved to America with his former wife. That longing led him to make a life-changing decision — he flew to New York in 2021 to reunite with his child.

That journey became the beginning of a new chapter.

In New York, he began studying tattooing seriously. He found a way to merge his artistic background, his spiritual roots, and his love for sacred yantras into one form of expression. From that moment, he started reimagining the ancient “Na” yantra — transforming sacred scripts into modern, minimalist tattoo designs that honor tradition while fitting contemporary life.

Today, O creates tattoos that are more than art — they are personal talismans.

Each design carries intention.

Each line carries history.

Each symbol connects the ancient and the modern world.

This is not just tattooing.

It is sacred art, reborn for the present.
